Q: How does the fit compare to other gloves such as Mystic gloves? I am a large for Mystic and O'Neil gloves but for this size chart I should be a small which doesn't seem right.

You will the same size in your Mystic gloves. I compared the 2 size charts and the measurement of the circumference of the knuckles is in the same range for the size Large ION gloves. The size chart shown on this page is in centimeters, so your measurement would be between 8-9".
